PhD: Heritable and nonheritable changes

Description :

  • Produce germline fabrication utilizing hereditarily isogenic normal carp line as a contributor of microorganism undeveloped cells and a firmly related types of goldfish as a host.
  • An innate zebrafish line and pearl danio host will be utilized as an alternate course of action.
  • Think about all conceivable organic, genetical and epigenetical attributes of gametes and posterity from normal guardians, between and intra-explicit proxy guardians after microbe cell cryopreservation.

Location :

  • Faculty of Fisheries and Protection of Waters, University of South Bohemia (USB), the Czech Republic

Main Supervisor :

Participating researchers :

  • Dr. Catherine Labbe (INRAE)
  • Dr. Birgitta Stolze (LLS Rowiak)

Results :

  • Get significant data about the impact of cryopreservation of microorganism cells and proxy propagation on posterity in fish.
  • These outcomes can approve or refute the materialness of the microbe line cryopreservation and proxy proliferation innovation for preservation systems and breedings.

Planned secondments: (Host, Supervisor, timing, length, and purpose) :

  1. LUH, Glasmacher, M12, 1 M, evaluation of interspecific cryodamage using cryomicroscope in fish germ cells
  2. LLS Rowiak, Stolze, M18, 1 M, advanced histological analysis for examination of gonads after germ cell transplantation
  3. INRAE, Labbe, M12, 2 M, training in evaluation of epigenetic changes
