Overview : 

  • Applications are open for Swedish Academy Scholarships 2024, where approximately 350 opportunities are offered for students from different nationalities.

  • Swedish Academy decided to give scholarships to 350 students in 2023. Masters scholarships are only available for full-time courses and for courses longer than one or two years, depending on the course chosen.

  • The Swedish Academy opens applications for these scholarships every year and the application window for master’s programs is now open.
  • The deadline for applications is January, and after this date, the selection process will be carried out for students entering the Faculty’s master’s program.

Requirements : 

  • Citizens of eligible countries.
  • In case of dual citizenship, applicants must choose one nationality while applying.
  • Work experience equivalent to 3000 hours from three different institutions or companies (full-time, part-time, or freelance work, with documentation required).
  • Previous leadership experience.
  • Should not have resided in Sweden for more than two years.
  • Should not hold any academic degrees from Swedish universities.
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university (you can learn more about specific requirements for each country (link).
  • Provide proof of English proficiency. “English 6” corresponds to:
    • IELTS score of 6.5 (with no section below 5.5),
    • TOEFL PBT score of 4.5 in the written test with an overall score of 575,
    • TOEFL iBT score of 20 in the written test with an overall score of 90,
    • Cambridge English Certificate in Advanced English (“CAE”),
    • Pearson PTE Academic score of 62 (writing 61)
